Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) had organised an online seminar called “Official Interpretation on How Chinese Applicants Apply for Ph.D. under Influences of COVID-19 (Special Session of Malaysian Public Universities)” on 18th June 2020. The objective of the seminar is to continue our promotion and marketing amidst COVID-19 for China to recruit students for the upcoming September intake. It will also help send out a message that Malaysia’s condition is stable and it is a destination suitable to further studies.
Due to COVID-19, this online seminar was conducted through Zoom with participations of more than 40 lecturers from different Chinese universities who are interested about further study in Malaysia. The main speaker of this seminar is Ms. Helen Liu (EMGS China Special Division General Manager), assist by Ms. Eeling Chong (EMGS Regional Marketing Executive). Special guests are Dr. Kenny (University of Malaya) and Dr. Badariah (Universiti Utara Malaysia).
This seminar begins with an opening speech by Mr. Wafiy Abd Aziz (Deputy CEO of EMGS), followed by the speech by the special guest. After the speech, the main speaker, Ms. Helen Liu did a presentation of the following topics: Introduction to Malaysia, Introduction to Malaysia’s Higher Education, Introduction to some major Public Universities, Application Policy under COVID-19 and Deliver CSCSE Regulations on Academic Verification under COVID-19 Situation. The seminar was a great success as the participants were actively asking questions regarding applications and universities during the Q&A session after the presentation.
