Overview

The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) programme provides a strong base in Mechanical Engineering with a well-established and balance curriculum that combines both theory and experiments during the four years of study. The curriculum consists of a good mix of general courses as well as core Mechanical Engineering courses. The programme also contains a compulsory Industrial Training attachment after semester 6 for a period of not less than 12 weeks. The idea of this attachment is to enable you to gain first-hand experience in industry as well as an insight to how theories are put into practice in real engineering situations. This short attachment in industry is beneficial as it provides the intellectual challenge to you especially in the final year and when carrying out your final year project. 148 credit hours of subjects are being taught in 8 semesters. This Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) programme can be completed in 4 years.
