Diploma in Islamic Studies with Education

Overview

Islamic studies plays a main and vital role in molding dedicated, honest and dynamic Muslim. This is due to the fact that Islamic studies influences well-balanced life of a society in order to ensure peace and harmony in Malaysia.

Entry Requirements

Normal Entry i. Pass SPM/SPMV with minimum credit in 3 subjects and pass one of the Arabic subject or one of the Islamic Studies subject; or ii. Pass O-Level with minimum Grade C in 3 subjects and pass one of the Arabic subject or one of the Islamic Studies subject; or iii. Pass the certificate in Islamic Studies or related field (MQF Level 3) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or iv. Pass STPM or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in 1 subject; AND v. Pass one of the Arabic subject or one of the Islamic Studies subject at SPM level (or equivalent) or STPM; or vi. Pass STAM (Maqbul level); or vii. Other recognised equivalent qualifications. APEL entry • Malaysian; and • Candidate must be 20 years old and above in the year of application being made; and • Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and • Pass APEL Assessment for a Diploma (conducted by OUM). English language competency requirements for international students: Minimum IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
