On 21st October 2019, Jinjilie Studying-abroad and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) signed the first agreement of cooperation at Jinjilie Studying-Abroad Headquarters on the fifth floor of Beijing Miyang Tower. Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Mohamed Shariff, Chairman of Education Malaysia Global Services, and Mr. Zhu Yanmin, Chairman and President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad were in attendance for the signing of the agreement on behalf of both parties.

This is the first collaboration for Education Malaysia Global Services with a Chinese institution to promote Malaysian education throughout China. This will bring about greater accessibility for Chinese students looking to studying abroad in Malaysia and signifies a historic milestone in the promotion of cultural and educational exchanges between China and Malaysia.

In addition, Mr. Wafiy Abd Aziz FCCA, Deputy CEO of Education Malaysia Global Services, Ms. Esther Low, Marketing Director of Education Malaysia Global Services, Ms. Lena Low, Business Development Officer of Education Malaysia Global Services, Mr. Zheng Yingwen, Executive Vice President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad, Mr. Guo Mingfei, Vice President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad, and Ning Wang, Vice President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad, Mr. Huang Shuai, Vice President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad, Ms. Yu Weiyan, Vice President of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad also attended the ceremony and witnessed this significant moment when both parties signed the agreement of cooperation.

The Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is part of the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and is responsible for promoting Malaysia’s higher education profile worldwide and reviewing visa applications for all international students who are studying in Malaysia. Jinjilie Studying-Abroad and Education Malaysia Global Services are embarking together with an in-depth collaboration on studying abroad programs and international study tour programs to further increase educational exchanges and talent transfers between both countries.

Moreover, EMGS will also provide Jinjilie Studying-Abroad with access to Malaysia’s high-quality colleges and universities; and will assist Jinjilie Studying-Abroad in the approval for conducting MUET tests in China (an entrance examination into Malaysian universities, to replace IELTS scores); and assist Jinjilie Studying-Abroad in acquiring eligibility for opening a Malaysian Visa Pre-Audit Center in China.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad Consulting Service Co., Ltd. Throughout its time of operation, they have delivered “integrity, authority, professionalism and responsibility” through its services, Jinjilie Studying-Abroad has accumulated a rich and in-depth understanding of its user needs. It has sent a total of over 1 million students abroad and established a leadership position in the studying abroad industry. Jinjilie Studying-Abroad with the support of a professional team and many Malaysian universities has built a good reputation among customers and established a reputable place in the industry, it’s these reasons that this agreement was based upon.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Zheng Yingwen, Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of Jinjilie Studying-Abroad, said, “Jinjilie Studying-Abroad strictly maintains the quality of student resources in accordance to the highest standards, to deliver better international students to Malaysia. Both parties will rely on their respective expertise and knowledge to cooperate and work closely together to achieve a mutually beneficial situation as well as taking this partnership to a higher level. “

At the same time, Dato’ Abdul Rahman Bin Mohamed Shariff, Chairman of Education Malaysia Global Services, said, “I hope to promote Malaysia as one of the top overseas destinations for higher education through the cooperation with Jinjilie Studying-Abroad.”

Through this cooperation, Jinjilie Studying-Abroad can bring more high-quality college resources and first-hand information on studying in Malaysia to prospective international students, greatly improving the visa approval rate and easing the process for studying abroad; it will further promote cooperation with both education sectors and to promote friendly educational exchanges between China and Malaysia.

Sarah Azreen Abdul Samat

Sarah has over 22 years of experience in corporate finance transactions involving equity issuance, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, corporate restructuring, and corporate valuation, amongst others. She began her career in investment banking with Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad in 2001 after obtaining her professional qualifications from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Later in her career, she joined other investment banking institutions in Malaysia such as AmInvestment Bank Berhad, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and RHB Investment Bank Berhad.

Presently, Sarah sits as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Reneuco Berhad and Independent Director of Pharmaniaga Berhad. She is currently the Executive Director of 3p Capital Advisers Sdn. Bhd., a company licensed with the Securities Commission Malaysia to provide advisory services to the capital market players.

Tuan Haji Ismail Bin Mohamed

Tuan Haji Ismail Mohamed sits on the Board of Director for Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). He obtains his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Prior to sitting on the EMGS Board, he was also appointed to be the Board of Director to KEJORA from 2013 to 2018, and several companies such as Permodalan Darul Takzim Sdn Bhd, Perbadanan Usahawan Johor Sdn Bhd, PIJ Holding and Ranhil SAJ Sdn Bhd. Tuan Haji Ismail Mohamed also co-founded Pertama.

He started his career by setting up a company and being the founder of JYBB Enterprise. His career came to prominence when he became the co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Pertama Polyerethane Technology (M) Sdn Bhd and subsequently became the Special Officer to the Minister of Education in 2013.

Ismail Mohamed is acknowledged for his expertise in Agriculture and Agro-based industry, landing him being appointed as the Chairman of the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Committee of the Johor State, the Chairman of Agro KEJORA and the Chairman of the Johor State Agriculture, Agro-based industry, Entrepreneurial Development and Cooperatives Committee.
