
Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and Malaysia – China Business Council (MCBC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 16th March 2021, sealing a new agreement in which MCBC will be the strategic partner of EMGS for the promotion and marketing of Malaysia as an international higher education hub for potential students from the territories of China, Hong Kong and Macau.
The MoU was signed by both CEO of EMGS, Mr. Mohd. Radzlan Bin Jalaludin and CEO of MCBC, Mr. Lee Thai Hung. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato’ Mansor Haji Othman, the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China cum Chairman of Malaysia – China Business Council, Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing, the higher management of the Ministry of Higher Education and EMGS.
Through this partnership, EMGS will function as an information provider that is responsible to furnish potential international students on the latest information regarding programme structure, entry requirements, fees and other relevant information for the enrolment in Malaysia’s higher education institutions (HEIs).
Meanwhile, MCBC will function as the contact point that engages with all education related agencies and governing bodies in China, Hong Kong and Macau for the dissemination of verified information related to Malaysia’s HEIs.
This cooperation will definitely be a leap for Malaysia in becoming the region’s international education hub.
