
EMGS held its second Advisory Committee Meeting on July 6th, 2021. This productive discussion provides the members of the Committee an opportunity to discuss the challenges of Malaysia’s higher education industry amidst the pandemic and provide mechanisms at all levels of higher education to help improve communication and interaction with the public, mainly the global higher education industry.
The purpose of this Advisory Committee Meeting series is to address various concerns from different categories of higher education institutions concerning international students and bring them to the attention of policymakers, immigration officials, and the Ministry of Higher Education.
It was attended by Prof. Dr. Amir Akramin bin Shafie (representing Public Universities), Datuk Dr. Parmjit Singh (representing Private University), Ms. Diana Chee Sheau Jen (representing Foreign Branch Campus), Mr. Mazrin Rohizaq Bin Che Rose (representing University College), Mr. Sean Chee Chong Sheng (representing Language Centre), and Dato’ Mike Loh Ming Choon (representing TVET/Skill Center).
The meeting was chaired by EMGS CEO, Mr. Mohd Radzlan bin Jalaludin, accompanied by EMGS representatives: Ms. Rahimah Ibrahim (Senior Director, Marketing, Communications & Branding), Mr. Ramlan Abd Aziz (Director, International Student Management Services), Ms. Esther Low (Director, Marketing), Mr. Ang Shao Ting (Head, Digital Marketing), Mr. Azhar Mohamed (Associate Director, Corporate Strategy), Mr. Syed Mohsen Alkaff (Head, Stakeholders Management), Mr. Mohd Farha Md Ishak (Senior Manager, ISMS), Mr. Khairul Zaimy (Manager, Corporate Strategy) and Ms. Mazlifah Abu Bakar (Stakeholders Management).
