About MAGNETMeet and Greet with International Students in Malaysia (MAGNET), formerly known as the International Student Outreach Programme, is an initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to engage with international students studying at Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as a token of appreciation for choosing Malaysia as their higher education destination. The programme aims to reinforce Malaysia's position as a premier global destination for quality higher education while contributing to the country's economic growth through the international education sector. In line with MOHE's Malaysia Education Development Plan (2015–2025) under Leap 8 (Global Excellence), the Ministry supports higher education institutions in enhancing the international student experience through quality education and strategic initiatives that strengthen Malaysia's position as a preferred global study destination.
