Overview

Occupational Therapists (OTs) are skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to assessing and treating individuals with physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments and disabilities. Their goal is to ensure that clients' homes, workplaces, and communities are both accessible and safe. OTs act as facilitators and health advocates, working to eliminate obstacles that hinder a client's engagement in daily activities and enhancing their overall functional performance. They collaborate with clients and their communities to achieve goals by either adapting the activities or modifying the environment to improve their ability to participate in desired, necessary, or expected tasks.
