Bachelor in Computer Forensic (Hons)

Overview

The Bachelor in Computer Forensic programme at MSU equips students with critical skills in cyber security, digital evidence investigation, and forensic tools and techniques. Designed for those aiming to combat cybercrime, the course integrates technical knowledge with legal and behavioural sciences to develop future-ready information security professionals.

Entry Requirements

i. Pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR pass in STPM or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects and a credit in the following at SPM level or equivalent:a) Additional Mathematics; ORb) Mathematics and one Science, Technology or Engineering subject.Note: Students under i b) must take and pass Mathematics reinforcement subjects before proceeding to relevant core courses unless exempted by prior qualifications.ii. Pass STPM in Science stream or equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in one Mathematics and one Science/ICT subject; ORiii. Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering / IT / Information Systems or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50; ORiv. Any other Diploma in science and technology with minimum CGPA of 2.50. Note: Candidates with CGPA between 2.00 and 2.49 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
