Overview

The Postgraduate Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine programme is developed for medical doctors who want to gain extensive knowledge of the basic medical science behind aesthetic medicine and adhere to best practices employing evidence-based medicine (EBM). The hands-on training provided by qualified, and experienced academic staff, LCP certified aesthetic practitioners and the available state of art facilities and equipment augments the professional practicing abilities of the students. The programme has created a career pathway for medical doctors who aim at developing themselves with advanced knowledge, practical skills and professional attitude and apply for Letter of Credentialing and Privileging (LCP) Chapter 1 examination by the Ministry of Health Malaysia to pursue their career as aesthetic practitioners. Spanning over for two long semesters, the course covers 4 modules and a clinical attachment with a total of 20 credits in 1 year.The assessments comprise of 20-40% coursework and 50-60% final examination and clinical attachment depending on the individual module.
