Diploma in Biotechnology
Overview
Diploma in Biotechnology is designed to produce specialised human resource who is equipped with the skills and know-how on new biological processes of commercial importance in a diverse range of industries such as pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, forensic and healthcare sectors. Students will be exposed to practical knowledge of the foundation technologies for working with DNA, proteins, cells and molecules. They will also gain knowledge of different areas of biotechnology especially food biotechnology, agro biotechnology and environment biotechnology.
Entry Requirements
SPM
Minimum 3 Cs (including a Science subject and a Pass in English)
O-Level
Minimum 3 Cs (including a Science subject and a Pass in English)
UEC
Minimum 3 Bs (including a Science subject and a Pass in English)
Certificate/SKM III
Minimum CGPA of 2.00 with a C in SPM
SAM/HSC/AUSMAT
TER/UAI: Average of 50% or higher in 5 subjects (including Mathematics)
CPU/CIMP
Average of 60% or higher in 6 subjects (including Mathematics)
Other Qualifications
As recognised by the Senate of IUKL as equivalent to SPM
