SUBMISSION OF PERSONAL BONDS TO EMGS
1. PURPOSE
1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide updates on the requirements to submit the original hardcopy personal bond to EMGS for endorsement of student/dependent pass or issuance of the eSupporting Letter for self-endorsement
2. IMPLEMENTATION
2.1 With immediate effect, Education Institutions are only required to provide EMGS with a copy of the personal bond which has been duly stamped by LHDN (physically or via online). Education Institutions are no longer required to submit the hardcopy of the original personal bond to EMGS.
2.2 Kindly note that Education Institutions are able to upload the softcopy of the personal bond through the STAR System – Please refer to the bulletin sent by EMGS on 25th January 2023 regarding the System Enhancement for Uploading the Additional Documents Required By EMGS Through STAR System.
2.3 This implementation is intended to ease the endorsement process and eliminate the manual practice of submitting the hardcopy of the personal bonds to EMGS.
2.4 Education Institutions must ensure they retain the original hardcopy of the personal bond for the student until he/she has completed their studies in that respective Education Institution. The original hardcopy of the personal bond is required in the event there is a violation of the Immigration Laws of Malaysia.
