NOTIFICATION FOR THE REQUIREMENT OF THE VERIFICATION REPORT FOR ACADEMIC CERTIFICATES REQUIRED BY EMGS FOR CHINESE STUDENTS – NEW APPLICATIONS
1. PURPOSE
1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide information on the requirement of the verification report for academic certificates required by EMGS for Chinese students which must be submitted by the Education Institutions during the submission of eVAL applications to EMGS.
2. REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Effective immediately, Education Institutions must obtain a verification report of the academic certificates in the English language from their Chinese students before creating New Applications in the STAR System.
2.2. The verification report of the academic certificates in the English language is a required document for all New Applications to be supported before submission to the Immigration Department of Malaysia for the issuance of eVAL.
2.3. Education Institutions must submit the verification report of the academic certificate in the English language as a part of the supporting documents when submitting the New eVAL Application to EMGS in order to avoid delays in processing the application.
2.4. If the verification report of the academic certificates in the English language is not submitted by Education Institutions, EMGS will not support the applications and the institutes must submit these documents as additional documents to resume processing the applications.
2.5. The online verification report of the academic certificate can be obtained through the China Credentials Verification (CSSD) / Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) (www.chsi.cn) / Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (www.cscse.edu.cn)
