EMGS MOBILISES EMPLOYEES ON FLOOD RELIEF EFFORTS IN KLANG VALLEY AND PAHANG

Kuala Lumpur, December 22nd 2021 – Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) has embarked on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and flood donation to deliver aid in an effort to ease the burden of those badly affected by the recent flood disasters. EMGS has mobilised EMGS CARES – Flood Relief Missions comprising volunteers among its employees to the affected areas in Klang Valley and Bentong, Pahang with Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad.

Chief Executive Officer of EMGS, Mr. Mohd Radzlan bin Jalaludin stated that EMGS is deeply concerned for the well-being of the people affected, and the staff have volunteered to help and lighten flood victims’ burden. “This is one of the worst flood disasters in Malaysia and it has devastated much of Klang Valley area like Shah Alam, Puchong, Klang are inundated by flood waters, forcing people to evacuate their homes.” he added.

All donations and contributions will go towards purchasing essential goods and delivering them to the impacted communities and the flood temporary relief centres (PPS). EMGS volunteers among its employees have started on the post-flood relief mission since 20th December by carrying out clean-up work at the affected areas. Above all, EMGS will continue to assist and preparations for post-flood relief assistance are in the works.
