Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons)
Overview
Bachelor of Interior Design programme aims to produce graduates professionally in the interior design environment and building industry with theoretical, technical and practical knowledge in the interior design field. The programme will prepare the student in designing research components and for the fast demands of the new technologies and changes in the current built environment industry. Students will be trained professionally in developing the ability in handling various problems/issues with creative practice along with a design consideration relating to sustainability, universal design, safety and by-laws.
Entry Requirements
i) Matriculation/Foundation – minimum CGPA of 2.0 in relevant fields as recognized by the MOHE or its equivalent.
ii) DVM / DKM / DLKM – passed in relevant fields and undergo a screening and bridging program.
iii) Diploma – minimum CGPA of 2.0 in Architecture and relevant field or its equivalent.
iv) Other Diploma – minimum CGPA of 2.5 in Science and Technology or its equivalent, and subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
v) A-Levels – Grade D in two subject or its equivalent.
vi) UEC – minimum of 5 B’s including requisite subject.
vii) STPM – Grade C (GPA 2.0) in two subject or its equivalent.
viii) STAM – minimum grade of Jayyid.
ix) 12 years of schooling – passed the exit qualification in the country of origin including requisite subject.
