My Study Journey Under The Malaysian Sky by Marsya

My name is Marsya Salsabila Voster, and I am an international student from Jakarta, Indonesia. I am currently in my second year of studying Industrial Management at Management and Science University (MSU). I started my studies in Malaysia in 2024, and over the past two years, this country has become more than just a place where I study. It has become a place where I have learned, grow, and become more independent.

One of the reasons I chose Malaysia as the place to continue my studies was because it is a Muslim country with values and cultures that are familiar to me. Malaysia is also close to my home country, which made my journey easier because I knew I could travel home more easily whenever I miss my family. Being close to Indonesia allowed me to stay connected with my loved ones while still experiencing a new environment and becoming more independent. Choosing Malaysia allowed me to pursue my education in a place where I could feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable while learning about a different culture.

Living in Malaysia has also helped me grow in many ways. I have visited different cities, learned about local traditions, and experienced the country's cultural diversity. Every experience, whether inside or outside the classroom, has helped me become more open minded and respectful of different backgrounds. Most importantly, studying abroad has changed the way I see the world. It has taught me to appreciate different cultures, embrace new perspectives, and understand that growth often begins when we step outside of our comfort zones.

Most of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my parents and my family. Thank you for your endless love, support, encouragement, and sacrifices that have made this journey possible. Even though we are far apart, your support has always given me the strength to keep going through every challenge. I know that studying abroad is not only my journey but also yours, because you have always believed in me and stood by my side. I hope to make you proud by working hard, continuing to learn, and making the most of every opportunity I receive

"Growth begins at the end of your comfort zone."
"Studying abroad is not just about earning a degree, it is about discovering yourself, embracing the world, and becoming the person you were meant to be."
