Bachelor in Accounting (Hons)
Overview
Bachelor in Accounting (Hons) is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the accounting, finance and business sector. By pursuing this course, students will be trained as a professional accountant and eventually able to create a strong foothold in the industry.
This degree provides a fundamental understanding of general accounting and finance principle to develop specific knowledge in an accounting area. Various functional areas of accounting including taxation, auditing, finance, costing, management accounting, economics and also information technology as to ensure the adaptability of the students with the rapid changes in the accounting world. Well-balanced curriculum with the broad spectrum of materials covered in each of the subjects will ensure the sufficiency of knowledge imparted to the students.
Entry Requirements
A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid, (good) and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
A diploma in accounting or related field, or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
Matriculation/Foundation qualification or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the AeU Senate;
