Dental health is an integral part of general health and has great impact on the human body.Dentistry is a noble professional career dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, disorders of the region of the oral cavity. The five-year BDS programme offered by AIMST University is a professional course to educate and train students to become world class dental practitioners. Entry Requirements

A-Levels / STPM: Grades BBB, ABC or AAC in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics. (Grade C can only be in either Physics or Mathematics) AIMST Foundation in Science / Matriculation / Foundation in Science / Pre-medical course** (course ≥ 1 year in the same institution): CGPA 3.0 (out of 4) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics UEC: B4 each in 5 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry, Physics, UEC Mathematics and Additional Mathematics UNSW Foundation / MUFY / Western Australia Curriculum Council / HSC Sydney Australia / Trinity College Foundation Studies / Australian Universities Foundation Programmes / South Australian Matriculation / Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia Year 12 / Ausmat: Aggregate or average of 80% or equivalent of B in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics Or 80% ATAR provided the subjects include Biology Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 / New Zealand Bursary: Average of 80% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics CPU / CIMP / Canadian Grade 12/13/ Ontario Secondary School Diploma Grade 12: Average of 80% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics Indian Pre-University: Average of 70% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics International Baccalaureate (IB): 30 points with a minimum of 2 science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and 1 science subject at Standard Level and attained a minimum score of 4 each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics Diploma in Health Sciences (course ≥ 2 1/2 years or 5 semesters in the same institution): CGPA ≥ 3.5 (out of 4) Degree in Health or Pure or Applied Sciences: CGPA ≥ 3.0 (out of 4) Degree in the Arts or Humanities: CGPA ≥ 3.5 (out of 4) And 3 Cs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM or its equivalent Or An accredited bridging course **SPM / O-levels requirement : Applicants must have obtained 5Bs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject. Must pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Applicant must NOT have failed in any other subjects listed in the results transcript The English Language Requirement: All applicants should have attained the required level of competence in English Aptitude Test / Interview: All eligible applicants are required to attend an interview (to be conducted by AIMST University) All applicants must have taken or registered for MUET upon applying for the programme. Additional Requirement from MDC A person with any of the following shall be disqualified from entry into a dental programme: Found guilty of offence(s) affecting the human body; Recent or serious dishonesty e.g. cheating at examinations, falsification of documents, plagiarism; Serious physical or mental illness; and/or Serious communicable disease(s) Note: AIMST University will officially notify you of the outcome of your application. Pre-condition: *Must obtain MUET Band 4 before graduation Malaysian applicants who seek employment in the public sector are required to attain credit in Bahasa Malaysia & English
