UPDATE ON SUBMISSION OF THE “DECLARATION OF PAYMENT” TO EMGS

1. PURPOSE

1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide an update on the “Declaration of Payment” facility which was introduced by EMGS on 6th April 2020. This facility was introduced to allow institutions to submit applications to EMGS for processing without payment due to the difficulties encountered in obtaining payment for applications due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.
 

1.2 The bulletin also stated that all Education Institutions must submit the payment for the applications to EMGS within 7 days of the MCO being lifted.
 

2. IMPLEMENTATION

2.1 Beginning 1st February 2022, EMGS will no longer accept the “Declaration of Payment” document in lieu of the payments required for the submission of applications to EMGS. Education Institutions must submit the payment via various payment methods accepted by EMGS in order to process the application.

2.2 All Education Institutions that have an outstanding amount for using the “Declaration of Payment” facility due to EMGS are required to provide the complete payment to EMGS by 14th February 2022. Kindly note that EMGS reserves the right to suspend the STARS account of the respective institutions if the institution fails to provide the payment to EMGS as declared.
