Moving forward, one of our main focuses is on promoting the Mobility programme as we can see that in recent years, there is a surge in the number of applications on mobility programmes among international students.

The top 5 countries with the highest number of applications for Mobility programmes as of September 2022, are Indonesia, France, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

This joint venture can also promote Malaysia as a destination of choice through the special interest segment of edutourism and trips by international students and their families, contributing to generating economic income for the country.

EMGS has been carrying out various promotional activities globally with higher education institutions and student recruitment agents to facilitate the recruitment of international students. With the target to reach 50,000 applications from international students for the year 2022, EMGS will continue to support the government’s aspiration to achieve 250,000 international students by 2025.
