NOTIFICATION ON THE DIRECTIVE RECEIVED FROM THE MOE ON THE REQUIREMENT TO APPLY FOR A RENEWAL APPLICATION – INSTITUSI PENDIDIKAN SWASTA (IPS)

1.     PURPOSE:
1.1.   The purpose of this bulletin is to notify all IPS on the latest directive received from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (MOE) on the requirements to apply for a renewal application for all international students.
1.2.   The Ministry of Education, Malaysia (MOE) has clarified that all IPS institutions must possess a valid KDN Approval in order to submit renewal applications for all their international students.
 
2.     IMPLEMENTATION:
2.1.   Effective 1^st December 2020, IPS institutions will only be able to apply for the IM55 form in the STARS system if their KDN Approval is still valid.
2.2.   Kindly also note that EMGS will only invoice a renewal application in STARS if the KDN Approval for the institution is still valid.
2.3.   If the renewal application has been invoiced and is currently being processed, the application will only be “Supported” by EMGS if the KDN Approval is valid. If the KDN Approval has expired, the respective institution will be required to submit a new valid KDN Approval for EMGS to resume processing the applications.
