NOTIFICATION ON THE WITHDRAWAL OF AXA INSURANCE OFFERED THROUGH EMGS

1. PURPOSE
1.1  The purpose of this bulletin is to provide information regarding the withdrawal of AXA Insurance through EMGS.

1.2  With effect from 3rd February 2021, AXA Insurance will no longer be available through EMGS.

2. IMPLEMENTATION
2.1  AXA will continue to provide coverage for all existing AXA-550 policies for new and renewal applications that are purchased prior to 3rd February 2021 until the end of their policy date.

2.2  Kindly note that Institutions will still be able to purchase various plans offered by AIA Insurance through the EMGS STAR System.

2.3  Education Institutions that prefer to register their “Own Group Insurance” may proceed to do so by completing the Educational Institution Insurance Provider Registration Form which is available for download through STARS. Education Institutions must ensure that the coverage offered meets the minimum requirements.

2.4  We would also like to inform all Education Institutions that EMGS has initiated a tender process for the provisioning of International Student Health Insurance and the process is due to be concluded before the end of March 2021.
