Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is Malaysia's largest institution of higher learning in terms of size and population. It has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception in 1956 and it is still growing. Beside the main campus in Shah Alam, the university has expanded nationwide with 12 state campuses, 6 satellite campuses in Shah Alam, 11 state satellite campuses and 21 affiliated colleges. With this vast network and a workforce of 17,770, the university offers more than 500 academic programmes in a conducive and vibrant environment. It is also home to some 175,200 students.

Library The University library remains central to the aspirations of the university. It is not only a repository of research data and learning materials, but it is also central to the student experience, encouraging learning, dialogue, discussion and reflection.

Initially set up in 1960 under the Rural and Industrial Development Authority (RIDA) in Petaling Jaya, the main library was reestablished in 1972 when a new library building was completed in Shah Alam and named Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak 1. To date the library collection totals more than 600,500 volumes comprising books, pamphlets, conference papers, bibliographies, calendars and other non-print materials in microform format.

The library also holds about 5,000 periodical titles currently subscribed or received through request/donations. More than 50 online databases are subscribed from various journals.

Clinic UiTM Health Centre was established to provide primary medical and health services to all UiTM staffs and students. This facility is operated by Medical and Dental Officers assisted by numerous supporting staffs.

UiTM Health Centre is located at Lot 1, Jalan Bijak 1/22, Seksyen 1, UiTM Shah Alam.

Branches of Minor Health Centres are also placed at each and every UiTM State Campuses, the latest being in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. Services provided in the Health Centre can be classified into 6 units, each serving different functions. This include Medical Unit, Public Health Unit, Diagnostic and Medical Advancement Unit, Oral Health Unit, Pharmacy Unit and the Administration Unit. These facilities are provided focusing mainly for UiTM staffs and students.

Alumni Details About Alumni Relations Centre

Alumni are among the university’s most valued supporters. They participate in many areas of its educational and service missions as well as in special events and programs that enable them to maintain campus friendships and establish new contacts with peers. Each member of Alumni is a valued ambassador for the university, contributing to its ongoing quality and prestige. Responsibility for strengthening the relationship between the university and its thousands alumni is vested in the Alumni Relations Centre.
