Kolej Universiti Linton (Linton University College) or formerly known as Kolej Linton was founded in 1985 in Ipoh, Perak. In its early stages, the College concentrated in offering the vocational and diploma level programmes in Engineering, namely Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Civil engineering and Building engineering.

Library The library at Kolej Universiti Linton supports the academic needs of students and staff of the university college by providing adequate resources and facilities. It contains sufficient “books” and “non-books” collection in the fields of studies offered, supplementary reading selections that enhance the teaching and learning process and self development; reference collection, and a range of periodicals.
Laboratory More than 80 laboratories are dedicated to the study of science, engineering, built environment, information technology and the visual arts. The impressive array of laboratories comprise:
  • 12 Computer Laboratories, inclusive of Multimedia Labs, Programming Labs, CISCO Labs, Open Laboratories, etc.
  • 14 Electrical & Electronics Engineering Laboratories, inclusive of Electrical Machine Room, Electric Engineering Labs, Control & Instrumentation Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Telecommunication Lab, PLC Lab, etc.
  • 12 Mechanical Engineering Laboratories, inclusive of Machine Shop, Heat Transfer & Thermodynamic Lab, CNC Shop, Bench Fitting & Welding Workshop, Hydraulic & Fluid Mechanic Lab, etc.
  • Channel Lab, Concrete & Structure Lab, Highway & Traffic Lab, etc.
  • 24 Architecture & Design Laboratories, inclusive of Architectural Drafting Studios, Model Making Workshop, Fashion Studio, Graphic Design Studio, Photography & Shooting Studio, etc.
  • 3 Quantity Surveying Laboratories, inclusive of Quantity Surveying Studios, Activity Room, etc.
  • 3 Engineering Drawing Studios
  • 4 English Language Laboratories
  • Accommodation Our fees include charges for a standard single room accommodation. Standard furnishing and amenities such as bed, bed sheet, pillow, blanket, study table, study chair, ceiling fan, locker and 24 hour wireless internet access are provided. Students can also request for items such as grill, water heater or air-conditioner at an extra charge.
    Clinic

    The campus houses two (2) clinics: the clinic located at the main campus is open during office hours whereas the hostel clinic located at unit SI06-0103 in the Security Department is open from 8pm to 12am.

    Transportation to the panel hospital will be arranged by our nurses and / or Transportation Department if they are not able to tend to any medical situation which needs hospital treatment.

    Sports There are many sport facilities available in Kolej Universiti Linton. These include football fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, table tennis facilities, etc. around the campus. Students can borrow any sports equipment from the Student Affairs Department (SAD). They have to pay a deposit of RM 50-00 for every sport item, jersey, basketball, football, volley ball and netball items. If there are any damages to the equipment, SAD will deduct the charges from the deposit when the borrowed items are returned.

    Alumni Details There are more than 20,000 students graduated from the university college since its establishment in 1985. Currently they are in Malaysia and many parts of the world. All of them have been employed by local governments and well known companies or running own business and others.
